Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme

The Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme is being launched in September 2020 and will be available to homeowners and private tenants in England. Everyone is entitled to a £5,000 voucher that will cover up to two thirds of the cost of insulation, low carbon heating and glazing.

Those with a low income in receipt of certain benefits, tax credits or allowances will be able to claim the full cost of improvements up to a maximum of £10,000. Many of the improvements will therefore be free of charge to those in this group.

At least one primary measure must be approved first before any secondary measures can be considered. The primary measures consist of home insulation and low carbon heating and the secondary measures include glazing and heating controls/insulation.
